EOTC

 Hi,

The most thing that challenge me is the adrenaline forest because the high of the thing that i have to do is scary and also fun.

In EOTC we have done some fun activity, we go to the adrenaline forest, and went to the jellie park, and to the city too. The most thing that I enjoy was the jellie park because it's fun to swim and all of the mohua swim together and if something is in the way we will take it of. 

In the city I learn so much and the library has a lots of books and their other floor has a place to play with lego, and the library has a place to make a songs and some stuff in the up stare, and their are so much books about cars and books about the world. 

I would like to do the jellie park because it's so fun in the slide and it's cool to swim, I also like to do the adrenaline forest because i didn't have a much time to do the other level, and I want to do the level 3 cause it look so fun and scary.

Gymnasties - Term 4

 Hi

In hurumanu we have done a gymnasties, it's so fun their are so many thing that you can try. Their is a trampoline, Beam, Parallel bars, Bar, Floor/Mat, and mini Trampoline. The Trampoline is my favourite cause it's fun when i'm doing a front flip, and I also like the floor/mat, i did a hand stand their and it's fun, I also like the others, their all so fun.

The Beam is also fun, your going to fun and your jumping and then you ca do a flip or something cool. The beam is so good, and it's so fun I want to do the beam again.

Their are some other that so dangerous to do some tricks, but the other are not, it's so scary if you want to do a trick but it might broke your hand, but it's so fun, I did a tricks in the floor/mat, the floor/mat is good too.

In the mini trampoline I can do a front flip, I was scared to do a back flip, but it's fun to do the front flip in the mini trampoline, and it's scary too when your landing.

In Bar I can't do anything their but I can do a set ups while my leg is in the bar, it's fun and hard to do it.

In parallel bars I can walk in their, with using my hand until to the other side, and it's also hurt in arm cause it's making your arm so tired.

In the beam I can do a front flip and also spin flip, the spin flip is so scary when your doing it, but the front flip is so easy and fun to do it.

Drama

 Hi,

In drama we learn how to feel like a bully, we are learning what we feel if we are the bully. I will feel so sad because it's so sad when you saw someone is been bullying with the bully, if i'm the bully i will feel sad because i don't like to be bully and i don't like to see someone is getting hurt by a bully.

I will be sad cause, being a bully well hurt the others felling, i don't like to hurt others felling. Bullying is bad that can make someone cry everyday.\, so if i'm the bully to the video i will be sad cause bullying will just hurt their felling.

When you been the victim what you will feel, I will feel sad and angry cause they are telling lie about you and make everyone hate you. The bully are always like to bully us but they can really be kind, as a victim i will feel so mad at them cause they are telling something bad about, and i will be so sad cause everyone is believing to the lie that the bully tell to them.

Tinkercad

 Hi,

In Mr Tisch we have done a tinkercad, we make a house it's hard but fun. The year 7 and 8 are doing it too, your going to make a wall and make some stuff that you can make, you can make a sofa, a freezer, and chair, or bed too. this is what i only than on my house

The year 7 and 8 are working at this house and some people are already done to their house, but most people are not than yet some people don't know what to do, but it's fun to do the house and it's really hard to do some shapes like a bed or sofa, and a wall too. We make this house and it's good, I think all the year 8 are good at tinkercad.

Wananga

 Hi,

In Wananga we have done a teaching, the year 9 are teaching us something like a sport or baking. Their is a group that will be teach the year 7 and 8, what they know about baking or sports. My group been teach about baking, it's fun when the year 9 are teaching the year 7 and 8. I think every Friday the year 9 will be teaching the year 7 and 8 about what they know.

Also the year 9 think about what they will teach to the year 7 and 8 to learned. The year 9 teach who they been partner with, year 9 is teaching us year 7 and 8 about sports or baking, and everything they know.

Hurumanu 2

 HI,

In Hurumanu 2 we did a freeze frame and the teacher took a photo of us doing the freeze we my friends and the other team are so good at freeze frame this is the picture of all us doing a freeze frame.

This is my team lets see the other team. you see the team i have is Joshua, Jrae, Gerhold, and me.

Miss also help us to do are freeze frame it's fun doing it with my friends and the other people, miss is help Levi's team with their freeze frame.

Hurumanu 6

In hurumanu 6 we have the a learning story. The learning story is a question to answer, we answer the question you can put a three answer, but I put a lot of answer. Christchurch Earthquake

 Hi,

In Hurumanu 1 we are learning about the 2011 earthquake. In 2011 there are a lot of people and Family died in the earthquake, the people are homeless because of what happened. Their home have been crush because of the earthquake. 

In the 2011 Christchurch their been some earthquake too, the road has a crack on it and it's hard to drive, and a water come out to the road the water reach to full of the wheel on the cars. When the earthquake is done and the water are gone, the people work together to take out the mud, but a lot of people and family died, and a lot people are homeless. The earthquake crush their houses, the city has been crush too and a lot of people survived the earthquake. The other people are sleeping outside, and the others are making there on house.

Hurumanu 3 Science

 Hi everyone in our Hurumanu 3 Science we had Pasta Rover Challenge, I am with Joshua, and Gerhold. We did a Rover by using different pasta and round mints, and we attached these by using glue gun.

Our aim is to build a pasta rover that can travel 1 meter down and ramp then 1 meter across the floor. It works by putting it in a cardboard the movement is fast.

The equipment that we used are the following Lasagne sheet, Fettucine, Spaghetti pasta, Penne pasta, Cannoli pasta, and Round mints.

This is the photo of the rover that we did.

Next time I would add more design on top of the base and make the wheel stronger.

Compass

Hi in hurumanu 3 class we talked about navigation.

The one who invented the first compass in William Thomson that invented the first compass. We watched a video how to use a compass, hold the compass flat and near your body, with the big direction of travel. The directions are the following North, East, South,West. There are some factors that can greatly influence how a compass take it's readings. There are jobs that still using a compass like Military, Pilot, sailman, that's the jobs that still using a compass. The 3 sports that require a compass are Orienteering, Hunting, Hiking. 

The first compass was invented in China during the Han dynasty between 2nd century. 

Science

 Hi

In Science we are learning the navigation without a  maps to go. The polynesian are not using a maps in the ocean, they are actually using the sky and ocean to find their direction. In the sky they are using the clouds, bird's, sun, moon, and stars to find their direction. In the ocean they are using the water waves, and the fish, they can tell if their are fish in the water. Their are four direction their named are East, West, South, North.

Early Polynesian Navigation

How do you navigate? The Polynesion wayfinders navigated the pacufuc Ocean by using sun,

moon, debris, vegetation, and stars. Southern cross showed where the North star was at a fixed

point. The navigation can tell anything about the east, west, south, and north stars.

Clouds reflected the Island's lagoons showing the where island where a group of clouds could

be above a mountainous island. The navigator uses the clouds to see the mountain that is on

the top of clouds. The clouds are like maps, polynesian people are navigation. They are going

in the ocean without maps like say the clouds are their maps. They are using some others for

going in direction.

They could tell their direction by the way the water hit the boat. They could tell if there are fish in

the water. If the water hit the boat navigated can tell already the direction, and they can tell if

there are fish in the water. The ocean it’s like a place of quiet; the navigated can tell if there are

fish in the ocean and not too. Navigated are using the water to tell the direction of the east, west,

south, and north stars.

The polynesion wayfinders navigated the pacific ocean by using the sun rising to da east and

west and the north star gave us a fixed point. They also use clouds to see mountains above the

clouds. So the navigated can use the water, clouds, sun, moon, debris, stars, and the fish too,

they can tell the direction by using them. They can also use the clouds to find an island and also

see the mountain above the clouds. Navigators always tell the east, west, south, and north stars

to find the direction to go.

In conclusion, the early Polynesian people did not use a GP5 at the time they used the sun and moon to know what's the time. They also use the water fish clouds, to find a mountain. The navigation always knows what direction to go. They also used the water, sun, fish, clouds, moon, and stars to find their direction to East, West, South, and North. That’s how they know where they are going in their direction. They are actually not using maps in the ocean, they are just using the water, fish, clouds, sun, moon, and stars.

Women in WW1

 Hi

In hurumanu 1 we have done a research  of the women in WW1. The  women in WW1 are working during the WW1, but the men are always get more paid than the women. Even the battle are going the women are still working of there job, but still the men are getting paid than women. It's not fair because the women are working even the WW1 it's been started the battle.

This is the women are working but still they are nit getting pay than the men.

WW1 Memorial

In hurumanu we have done a research of the WW1. The WW1 is a battle of the country, the New Zealand fight to so they will not be target of the enemy. They fight each other, the country are fighting until the end. The New Zealand soldier  had 8000 dead army and 42000 wounded. The dead people we din't bring there body's back to New Zealand so the memorials like they grave.

The memorial it's has all the names of the army who died in WW1, and every of the army has the name to the rock there named is the one who saved the New Zealand.

We make are own memorial it's a drawing but the other it's a goggle draw, I did a goggle drawing. This is my memorial draw, the other student make this too, to the paper and to the goggle drawing. They do it to.

Navigation

 Aim:

I want to walk in a straight line with no senses.

Hypothesis:

I predict that I will walk in a straight line.

Method:

Equipment

• Bucket
• Blindfold
• Cotton wool

Instructions:

1. Cover your eyes with a blindfold
2. Put cotton wool in your ears
3. Put the bucket on your head
4. Spin in a circle 3 times
5. Get your partner to line you up in the right direction
6. Begin walking in a straight line

Safety:

• Stop when you hear the whistle!
• If your partner says stop you must stop!
• Do not walk into objects (buildings, people and trees)

Result:

• Left way and right way
• the ways is so hard to know
• not see the way

• Find a satellite picture of the field
  

Conclusion

It was impossible to work which way to go.

It's like the way are gone so it's impossible to go straight.

In hurumanu we have done a sign language. We went to the field and do some sign language, the sign language is a words that using your arm to sign you friend, there are two on group the 1 of the group will go to the end of field. Then the one who's on the end will gave a sign and the others will think what the words that they saying, that how play the sign language.

Thing that needs.

You need a paper to write the words, that your partner signing to you. Your partner need a paper that your going to right the sign that his doing and his going to bring it to the end of the field.

In Hurumanu 3 we have done a reacech to the Parihaka. This is the work that I did it's just a small video to the Parihaka. I don't really know what happend to the Maori and Parihaka, the only thing that I know that the goverment put the Maori to the jail. That's all I know.

In whananga we have done a comic. We make a comic it's so easy you can pick your character and background and some tools too, you can make a words that you going to write on it. This is my comic it's just a normal comic, but it's not a real comic, it's just a six picture of comic that I make.

Mean, Median, Mode

In Hurumanu we have done a mean, median, and mode, if you din't know the mean and the other I will explain that to you. The mean, the mean is a maths that you will time's the number and you will divide the answer of the number, I will explain on easy the mean, if you have two number you need to time's that two number and the answer of the qioustion you will divide it to number 2 and that's mean mean's.

Median is one of the easy maths work, To do in median you need to the pick the middle number and if the number is has a 6 number you need the half of the answer. The median is just simple maths, if there was a 5 number the answer of the qiuostion is the middle number.

Mode is the hardest one to the other. The mode is a question that the thing that you need to do is pick the most common number. The most common number the answer of the question you need to circle the most common number and if there was a 3 seem number and there's two seem  number the answer is the 3 seem number to the question.

Healthy vs Unhealthy Relationship

In wananga we looked at healthy and unhealthy relationship. The healthy relationship is a good relationship with your family, friends, and to other people. The unhealthy relationship is a bad relationship to your family, friends, and other people. If you have a good relationship to the people you have to trust them and listening to you friends and helping them. The bad relationship is that your not trusting them and your lying and not helping them if they need help.

Becoming a Martian

We have done a five question about the Mars and how to get your on food and how to survive in the mars on 26 mounts.

1. A mission to Mars could happen 26 months when Mars and Earth are at the closest point in their orbits.

2. Mars is know as the Red Planet because of it's colour (caused by large amounts of Iron oxide), Other features including polar Ice caps, Olympus Mons (the largest volcano in the solar system), and Valles Marineris (one of the largest canyons in the solar system)

3. The air on Earth contains a lot of oxygen (around 21 percent). Your body uses oxygen to burn fuel to make energy. On Mars, the atmosphere is 95 percent carbon dioxide. Breathing this would mean certain  death because the carbon dioxide would replace the oxygen in your red blood cells. You would last round two minutes.

4. It doesn’t rain on Mars. This means the planet has no rivers or lakes. Water is found as ice in the polar icecaps, but these ice caps are covered i na thick layer of frozen carbon dioxide. Martian rovers have discovered more ice – underground. A tiny amount of water flows on the planet’s surface, but only when the temperature is warm enough, and this water is full of toxic salts. Don’t think you can just bring a supply of fresh water from Earth. Water is very heavy and takes up a lot of space. It would be an impossible task.

5. If settlers brought their own food, it would need to last for twenty-six months until the next supply rocket arrives. Each person’s supply would weigh around 5 tonnes. Again, that’s not a good use of space or rocket fuel. One obvious solution would be to grow food on Mars, but there’s no soil. Instead, the planet’s surface is covered in ground-up rock. This has too few of the nutrients that plants need. There’s also the problem of the atmosphere, which contains too much carbon dioxide. And Mars is

extremely cold. Plants won’t grow.

Food tech

In food tech we have done baking, we baked a muffin and we eat it, it's taste so good there are a some meat inside the muffin and cheese and onion. This is the ingredients. This is what the muffin that we baked looks like. See this is the muffin it's colour are yellow you can't see the meat because the meat is on the inside of the muffin.

Whale Rider Maroi

In Maroi we watch a whale rider, the whale rider is kinda boring, but at the end it’s cool that the little girl ried on the whale and the whale moved to go in the water and the people went to see the whale and they saw the whale is gone they saw the whale it’s the ocean. The little girl's grandpa gave the little girl the whale tooth and the little girl was chosen by the whale to become the leader. In the end they went to the ocean with a boat.

Food Tech - chocolate cookies

In food tech, we make cookies, the team is great and we work together,.  Me and Joshua work together and we make 16 cookies every team. The smell of the cookies is like butter but it's good to eat and the taste of the cookie is butter and there is a cream inside the cookie. The team was good this is what the cookie look's like.

In Maori we are searching of the Maori, The Maori has a seven stars the names of the star are Ururangi, Waipunarangi, Tupu-a-rangi, Tupu-a-nuku, Waita,Wiati, and Matariki. That's the names of the seven star. do you know the Māori New Year has always been celebrated with the rise of the star cluster Matariki. It marks the beginning of the Aotearoa/Pacific New Year according to the lunar calendar.

There are myth of Matariki, the Legends. Matariki literally means the 'eyes of god' (mata ariki) or 'little eyes' (mata riki). Some say that when Ranginui, the sky father, and Papatūānuku, the earth mother were separated by their offspring, the god of the winds, Tāwhirimātea, became angry, tearing out his eyes and hurling them into the heavens. That's the Legends. The one who Matariki is the Māori name for a group of seven stars known as the Pleiades star cluster. Some people think of Matariki as a mother star with six daughters, and it is often referred to as the Seven Sisters.

Philippines Independence Day

In Hurumanu 2 we are doing a blog about the hot seating. The hot seating is a people who's going to ask some question and the one who's seating on chair is the one you'r going to ask some question and the person who's on chair is going to answer the question. You can ask any question, the other person need to ask some question too.

In Hurumanu we have done a freeze frame, the freeze frame. Freeze frame mines that your going to do a post of action and you need to be ready. You can have a 2-6 team on your group and you all will do a action post. The position of the freeze frame, you can to anything position a sport position, action position, or any position you want to do, and the you need to think to because the teacher will ask what you thinking.

Writing hurumanu

In hurumanu I have done my story but the question are hard to understand it but I have done it. Writing hurumanu is a hard work, I will explain how to done the hurumanu. First I pick a horror so I right a horror story, there are three to pick a horror, fantasy, and action/adventure, that's the three that you need to pick on. You will right a story, a horror story or fantasy story and action story, is easy to right a story on google doc, I right a story about a witch and the two boys. I think what am going to right on my story and I right the witch and two boys, it's hard to think a story. The writing hurumanu is hard to work on but I can do it because I can get help.

Reading hurumanu

Hi,
In hurumanu I have done my word arts. Word arts is easy to make you need to edit the words and shapes, you can pick any shapes you want to make a word arts. The shapes that I pick is dragon, you see there is a words on the shapes. The shapes that I pick have no colour because I put no colour of my shapes.

words art is to make a shapes with words you will edit all that you need, you will right a words on the word on word art, you can right all the words you want.

There more shapes that you can use animal shapes, heart shapes, sports shapes, and anything more there is many shapes that you can use. You make the word look nice. That's my word arts on photo it's like a shapes of snake and dragon too.
